Jeffrey L. Reinecker

Dover - Jeffrey L. Reinecker, 52, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at his residence.
Mr. Reinecker was born in York, April 15, 1969, son of Albert W. "Al" and Darlous A. (Shellenberger) Reinecker.
Jeff was a 1987 graduate of Christian School of York. He was employed 28 years as a die maker for Industrial Wire Mesh. He enjoyed photographing car and air shows and nature scenes such as waterfalls and Bald Eagles.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Vickie A. Reinecker of Quakertown; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
There will be a memorial service 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Church, 2740 Roosevelt Ave., York, PA 17408. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 a.m. at the church. Officiating will be Pastor Greg Wahlberg.

Grant Harbold

York - Grant Harbold, 85, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, Monday, September 20, 2021 at his residence. He was the husband of Penelope M. (Rentzel) Harbold, with whom he celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary in April.
Mr. Harbold was born in York, May 8, 1936, son of the late Grant H. and Mary E. (Kissel) Harbold.
He served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and retired as a mechanic for F.S. Transportation.
In addition to his wife, survivors include three children, Bradley E. Rieder and his wife, Lawana of TN, Kimberly A. Rohrbaugh and her husband, William of York and Stephen O. Rieder and his wife, Bonnie of Easton; Eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three siblings, Dawn Danfelt of Potter Co., Joan Rauhauser of Dover and Herbert Harold of York. He was preceded in death by a sister, Zee Jane Kehr and four stepsisters.
There will be a funeral service held 11 a.m., Saturday, September 25, 2021 at the LeRoy R. Leber Funeral Home, Inc., 2290 School St., York (Shiloh), PA 17408. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. Officiating will be his son, Bradley E. Rieder. Burial will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that any memorial contributions be made in Grant's name, to Hospice and Community Care, 235 Saint Charles Way, York, PA 17402.

Sandra L. Shellenberger

Dover - Sandra L. (Martin) Shellenberger, 74, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Normandie Ridge, York. She was the wife of the late Dale K. Shellenberger, who died in 1993.
Mrs. Shellenberger was born in Spry, October 13, 1946, daughter of the late Richard and Margaret (Wildasin) Martin.
Sandy was a 1964 Dover High School Graduate. She was a technician for 18 years in the central supply department in York Hospital and later, Hardee's of Dillsburg.
She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Dover High School Alumni and the Dover Historical Society.
She is survived by a brother, Thomas E. Martin of Dover; a niece, Melinda M. Fritz; a nephew, Michael T. Martin, Jr; a sister-in-law, Cathy M. Martin; several step-children, step-great-grandchildren and step-great-great-grandchildren; two great-nieces, Laken Payne and Lexus Yinger and one great-nephew, Dylan Martin; one great-great-niece, Audrey Payne and two great-great-nephews, Gage and Greyson Yinger.
Sandy's funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, September 23, 2021 at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 25 W. Springettsbury Ave., York, PA 17403. There will be a visitation from 10-11 a.m., prior to the service at the church. Officiating will be her pastor, the Reverend Stanley Reep. Following the service, burial will be in Suburban Memorial Gardens, Dover.
All planning to attend are required to wear masks regardless of vaccination status.

Gloria M. Snapp

York - Gloria M. (Clapper) Snapp, 92, passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Manor Care South. She was the wife of the late Raymond C. "Speedy" Snapp, who died in 2015.
Mrs. Snapp was born in Adams County, April 12, 1929, daughter of the late Charles and Fannie (Hamilton) Clapper.
Gloria was a seamstress for Danskin, from which she retired,
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara A. Smith and her husband, Larry of Dover; a granddaughter, Amy L. Woolsey and her companion, Doug Ream of Harrisburg; two great-grandchildren, Maison T. Myers and his companion, Hope Bowlin of York and Gage L. Woolsey of Elizabethtown; two great-great-grandchildren, Bailey E. and McKenzie P. Bowlin; three siblings, Pearl Sebring and her husband, Royce of Dover, Mary Geiselman and her husband, James of Dover and Grant Clapper of York; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four siblings, Walter, Harry and Wilbert Clapper and Pauline Dyarman.
All of Gloria's services will private at the convenience of the family.

Ruthanna M. Krout

York - Ruthanna M. (Wilt) Krout, went home to be her Lord and Savior who watched over her for 88 years. She passed away Monday, September 6, 2021 at Pappus House, Spry.
Ms. Krout was born in Paradise Twp., June 27, 1933, daughter of the late Emory Wilt and Eliza (Berkheimer) Wilt Nickey and stepfather, Monroe Nickey.
Ruthanna was a 1952 graduate of East Berlin High School. She was employed by the Ribbon Mill in York, Country Meadows, Pine Manor, and Health South. She was a member of Genesis Church, York New Salem, where she taught children's Sunday School for 30 years; Two Good News Club, and Park Ministry.
Survivors include three children, Tina M. Warner and her husband, Douglas of Spring Grove, Lori A. Lehr of York, and Timothy W. Krout and his wife, Kathy Williamson of VA; six grandchildren, Kenton and Anthony Lehr, Alyssa and Dakota "Kody" Warner, and Mary and Michael Schenning; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends that became chosen family. She was preceded in death by three siblings, Viola, Emory and Kurvin Wilt.
Ruthanna's funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, September 13, 2021 at Genesis Church, 1405 Seven Valleys Rd., York, PA 17408. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Officiating will be her pastor, Bob Tome.

Dover - Jean M. (Brewbaker) Freed, 84, passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at her residence. She was the wife of Raymond J. "Ray" Freed, II.
Mrs. Freed was born in Enola, May 12, 1937, daughter of the late George and Ida (Rudy) Brewbaker.
Jean was a waitress for Brite Star and later Reliance Café for over 20 years.
In addition to her husband, survivors include 10 children, Susan M. Rudolph and her husband, Brad of NC, Carolynn M. Papa and her husband, Dominic of East Berlin, Albert R. Pooler, Jr. and his wife, Mary Sue of York, Craig A. Pooler and his wife, Kim of York, Galen C. Pooler of Dover, Holly C. Dunn and her husband, Craig of NC, Benjamin L. Pooler of Gettysburg, Joe Freed, III of York, Andrew C. Freed and his wife April of York, and Heather E. Freed of York; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two brothers, George Brewbaker and his wife, Judy of WV, and Galen Brewbaker of Enola.
All of Jean's services will be held at the convenience of the family.

York - Shirley A. Bish, 66, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Wellspan York Hospital.
Shirley was born in Thomasville on Saturday, February 19, 1955, daughter of the late John N. and Phyllis L. (Altland) Bish.
She was employed as a cast finisher by the former Pfaltzgraff Pottery, York.
Shirley was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Dover. Christmas was her favorite holiday. She enjoyed puzzles, crafting and Rock-N-Roll.
Survivors include, a brother, John P. Bish and his wife Sally of East Berlin; a half sister, Carol L. Parr and her husband, Larry of Hanover; sister-in-law, Beverly F. Bish of Spring Grove; a niece, Laurie Collins, and her husband Justin; two nephews, Jonathan "Jon" Bish and his wife, Angela, Chad Rosa; a grand-niece, Hannah Bish and two grand-nephews, Noah Bish, Camden Collins; and a very special friend and caregiver for more than twelve years, Paula Clause. She was preceded in death by a brother, Henry C. Bish.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Salem United Church of Christ, 2705 W. Canal Rd., Dover. Officiating will be her pastor, Julia Brown. There will be a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Final resting place will be in Salem Union Cemetery, Dover.

John L. Swemley, Sr.

York - John L. Swemley, Sr., 93, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Country Meadows, Leader Heights. He was the husband of the late E. Janice (Eichelberger) Swemley, who died in 2013.
Mr. Swemley was born in York, August 24, 1928, son of the late Jacob E. and Vergie R. (Miller) Swemley.
John attended West York High School and served his country honorably in the US Army during the Korean War. He was employed by the former Cole Steel as a maintenance mechanic for 41 years.
He was a member of the Shiloh American Legion, Post 791 and the West York VFW. He was awarded the "Journeyman Certificate" as a mechanic for Cole Steel.
Survivors include three children, Linda J. Markey and her husband, Daniel of York, Kimberlyn V. Muela and her husband, David of Spring Grove, and John L. Swemley, Jr. and his wife, Michelle of York; 8 grandchildren, Shawn Stauch, A. Stacy Berkheimer, Charles Shock, Georgeanna Montalto, Paul and Craig Markey, Avrey and Evan Muela; and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Georgeanna B. Henneman and four siblings, Helen Burd, Emory, Harvey and Paul Swemley.
There will be a funeral service 1 p.m., Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at the LeRoy R. Leber Funeral Home, Inc., 2290 School St., York (Shiloh), PA 17408, a viewing will be held one hour prior from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Final resting place will be in Mount Rose Cemetery, York with military rites presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.

Ronald G. Dunham

Lewisberry - Ronald G. Dunham, 77, passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at his residence. He was the husband of Darlene M. (Snyder) Dunham, with whom he celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary in January.
Mr. Dunham was born in York, April 14, 1944, son of the late Creighton Z. and Drema M. (Cutlip) Dunham.
Ronald retired from Harley-Davidson as a truck driver, and drove for numerous companies over the years, totaling 40 years. He received an award from Penske Truck Leasing and the York District for one million miles accident free safe driving.
He was an avid hunter and a member of the North American Hunting Club.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Teresa M. Starr of Dover; three grandchildren, Amber M. and Joshua G. Dunham, and Ashley N. Macintosh; four great-grandchildren, Lexus Starr, Caleb Dunham, Nathanial Weaver and Wesley Dunham; one brother, Robert Dunham his wife, Elaine; numerous nieces and nephews; and his loving pets, Taz, Tigger, Baby Girl, Little Bit and Kitty Cat. He was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Jaxon Deacon and a sister, Roxanne Williams.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Steven T. Weimer, Sr.

York - Steven T. Weimer, Sr., 52, passed away Monday, August 16, 2021 at his residence. He was the husband of Penny M. (Brillhart) Weimer.
Mr. Weimer was born in Kingman, AZ, April 28, 1969, son of the late Benny J. and Betsy E. (Sneddon) Weimer.
Steven was employed as a laborer for Caterpillar and had done bodywork for Newports Autobody. He loved animals and enjoyed fishing.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Steven T. Weimer, Jr. and his wife, Page of TX; two grandchildren, William and Koa Weimer; two stepsons, Michael Kefauver, Jr. and Nicholas Kefauver, both of York; three step-grandchildren; two siblings, Bonnie Osborne of York and Ben Weimer, Sr. and his wife, Jennifer of East Berlin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a memorial service 6 p.m., Thursday, August 26, 2021 at the LeRoy R. Leber Funeral Home, Inc., 2290 School St., York (Shiloh), PA 17408.

Mary E. Elicker

York - Mary E. (Dudderar) Elicker, 98, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at Country Meadows, York. She was the wife of the late Horace H. Elicker, who died in 1987.
Mrs. Elicker was born in York, February 27, 1923, daughter of the late James R. and Estella M. (Gross) Dudderar.
She was a York High Graduate. She retired after 46 years as a unit leader inspector for Dentsply. She was a member of Shiloh United Church of Christ, York.
Survivors include four nieces, Michelle Bruxelles of DE, Barbara Wentz and Pamela Durr of SC, and Karen Boyle of York; good friends, Sheila Borsa and Prudence Kauffman. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Dudderar.
All of Mary's services will be private at the convenience of the family.
The family would like to thank Country Meadows, Trolley Rd. and Lifesong Hospice for their loving care.

Charles A. O'Dell

Dover - Charles Andrew O'Dell, 86, having believed, trusted, and taken comfort in Christ's promise of eternal life went home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 16, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Gertie L. (Snelbaker) O'Dell for over 62 years, until her passing in 2017.
Born in Nicolas County, W.V. on August 31, 1934, Charlie was the son of the late Lloyd W. and Nellie C. (Siers) O'Dell.
He worked at York Borg Warner, which later became York International for over 20 years before his department was sold to Klinge Corporation where he continued working until he retired fulltime in 2016. He faithfully attended Church of the Open Door for many years. He was a very quiet man who dearly loved his family very much. He also enjoyed reading and watching Nascar on TV.
Left to cherish his memory are his two children, Cindy L. Lashley (Ralph) of Dover PA, Ricky L. O'Dell (Barbara) of Crossville TN; four grandchildren, Brandy L. O'Dell of San Francisco CA, Justin L. Lashley (Jocelyn) of Portland OR, Erica L. Reilly (Kevin) of York PA, and Cara L. O'Dell (John King) of Crossville TN; three great-grandchildren, Ava, Brogan, and Decklin Reilly; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceeded in death by three brothers Dana R. Cole, J. Robert O'Dell, J. Everett O'Dell; and three sisters Sylvia M. Townsend, Lula M. Hoffman and M. Kay LoBianco.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 20, 2021 at LeRoy R. Leber Funeral Home, Inc., 2290 School St., York (Shiloh), PA 17408. Officiating will be Pastor Brett Ayers. Final resting place will be Suburban Memorial Gardens, Dover. Viewing will be prior to the service at 9:30 a.m.

Edwin E. Smith

York - Edwin E. Smith, 82, passed away Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Wellspan York Hospital. He was the husband of the late Sandra L.B. (Keener) Smith, who died in 2003.
Mr. Smith was born in York, May 29, 1939, son of the late Charles J. and Celia M. (Wallick) Smith.
Edwin retired as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army after 20 years of service. Later he was employed as a metal saw operator for the former Alto Corporation. He retired after 20 years as a night watchman for Keystone Weaving. He was a member of the VFW.
Survivors include three children, Katrina U.M. Emenheiser of York, Roy C.E. Smith of Ocean City, MD and Edwin A.E. Smith of New Cumberland; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two siblings, Randy K. Simmons of Shiloh and Buriel C. "Buddy" Smith of York; two nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by one great-grandson.
There will be a viewing from 4-6 p.m., Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at the LeRoy R. Leber Funeral Home, Inc., 2290 School St., York (Shiloh), PA 17408. A graveside service will be held the following day at 10 a.m., in Mount Rose Cemetery, 1502 Mt. Rose Ave., York, PA 17403. All planning to attend, please meet at the gate by 9:45 a.m., we will proceed to the gravesite together. Military rites will be presented at the gravesite by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.

Robert J. Behler, Sr.

   Robert J. Behler Sr., 83, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 28, 2021 at his residence.  He was the husband of Margie M. Behler for 62 years and father of Robert J. Behler Jr. and his wife Tami, William C. Behler and his wife Lori and Christine L. Whitehead and partner Wade Gladfelter; 9 grandchildren, William Behler Jr., Matthew Behler, Danielle Callahan, Jennifer Behler, Maslyn Behler, Jesse Behler, Ashley Whitehead, Lynsey Whitehead and Austin Whitehead; 3 step grandchildren, Britney Maines, Laurea Kinney and Sami Gentzler; and 9 great grandchildren. He was proud of all his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Additional survivors include, a sister, Mary Ellen Sayres, sister-in-law and her husband, Jean and Mike Ketterman and many nieces and nephews.
   He was born July 27, 1938, son of the late Charles E. and Clara L. (Cline) Behler.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Powell and brother-in-laws, Lawrence Powell and Donald Sayres.
   Bob graduated from William Penn High School, Class of 1957.  He served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy .   Bob was employed by Consolidated Freightways as a Parts Manager, retiring after 38 years of service.
   Bob was a 50-year member of Shiloh United Church of Christ where he served on the consistory and was a Sunday school teacher, West York V.F.W., Viking Athletic Assoc., and the Shiloh American Legion Post 791.
   He had a deep respect for nature and animals and loved his dog Rosco, and all the simple things in life.  He enjoyed his cabin in Potter County and hunting.  Most important to him was his family and everyone being together at the cabin, the beach and holidays.
   Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 6, 2021 at Shiloh United Church of Christ, 2251 Willow Road., York.  Officiating will be his pastor, Rev. Melinda M. LaMontagne, Ph.D.  There will be a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the church.  At the conclusion of the service, flag folding and taps will be presented by the York County Veteran Honor Guard.  Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
   The family requests all memorial contributions be made to Shiloh United Church of Christ, 2251 Willow Rd., York, PA 17408.

H. Allan Snyder

   H. Allan Snyder, 83, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at York Hospital.  He was the husband of Cynthia G. (Miller) Snyder, recently celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary.  Mr. Snyder was born in Harrisburg, March 2, 1938, son of the late John W. and Irma O. (Whitmore) Snyder.
   Allan served 4 years in the United States Navy after finishing high school.  Upon his return to civilian status, he pursued a lifelong career driving tractor trailer and tanker truck equipment.  In his early career, Allan was employed with both A.J. Williams Trucking Company, Dover, DE, and also with Playtex Corporation, Dover, DE, where his dependability, cheerful personality, and safe driving record earned him the opportunity to provide chauffeur service for the CEO of the company.
   Allan subsequently accepted a position driving truck with Amoco Chemical, DE. He was especially proud that he was selected to transport the Amoco Indy 500 race car trailer to the race events.  He eventually retired from Amoco, after achieving 25 years of service.
   After his retirement, Allan relocated to central Florida with his second wife, Cindy, where they were both employed at Disney World’s Fort Wilderness Resort for more than 15 years.  During this time, they became “snow birds”, living between Winter Haven, Florida and York, Pennsylvania.  During his summers in York each year, Allan drove for Carlisle Carriers, water tanker truck for Magnesita Refractories, and later drove bus for Rabbit Transit, the York County public transportation company.   Deciding to fully retire, Allan and Cindy gave up the annual travel between locations, and settled permanently in their home in York during 2014.
   In addition to his wife, Cindy, survivors include six children, Louann Insley and her husband, Joe of DE, Rodney Snyder and his companion, Jeanette of DE, Kathy Bowers of York, Susan Maier-Moul and her wife, Margo of NY, Robert Moul and his wife, Diane of Chester Springs, and Rebecca Lenington and her husband, David of AZ; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ethel F. (Lehr) Snyder, to whom he was married 32 years, and two siblings, Gloria Bell and Kenny Snyder.
   Allan’s memorial service will be held with military honors presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard at Noon on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at the Leroy R. Leber Funeral Home, 2290 School Street, (Shiloh) York, Pa, 17408.  The family will receive visitors prior to the service, from 11 a.m. to Noon. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Ron Oelrich of Faith United Church of Christ, York.

   Tracy Lee (Pribyl) Jacobs, 51, passed on 9:17 a.m. Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA.  She was the wife of Randy Lee Jacobs.
   Tracy was born Tuesday, April 5, 1969, in Oak Park, IL.  She was the daughter of the late Leo K. Pribyl of Phoenix, AZ.  She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Darlene and Fred Arnold, three sons, Kyle Thomas of Harrisburg, Tyler Thomas of FL and Noah Taylor of Dover.  She was preceded in death by a son, Brady Taylor.  Additional survivors include, three stepdaughters, Megan Jacobs and Michael Zelinske of Windsor, Toni and Clay Tyler of Gettysburg and Denise Jacobs and Roger Evans of Wysox; one grandchild, Charli Tyler of Gettysburg, three stepbrothers, Jay and Linda Arnold of Dover; Jim and Adrienne Arnold of Hanover; Joe Arnold and Tammy Harrison of York Springs.
   Tracy attended Dover Area High School, Class of 1987 and HACC in the nursing program.  She was employed in Pediatric Home Care.
   She was a member of Friendship Community Church, Dover.
   She loved crafts, her pets, hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with family.  She will be dearly missed.
   A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
   At the request of the family, memorial contributions may be made to the Gift of Life Donor Program, 401 North 3rd St., Philadelphia, PA 19123-4101.
